I read something beautiful this morning:

"Life is a funny thing. We are given today, but not guaranteed another. Little tokens can be found all around that remind us of the brevity of this life, and if they could speak, the ages old mountains would testify. Spend the precious time you've been given by investing in an eternal Kingdom, and not in a kingdom that will fade away." - Atlas Rhoads
John 3:3 Jesus answered him, "Truly, truly I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the Kingdom of God."

It's a Witch Hunting Thing

Dress: eShakti.com
A witch's recipe to cure the infectious pumpkin spice craze:
A dash of gold flakes, a handful of crisp fall leaves, 3 pints of blood from the Starbucks mermaid, Instagram your selfie with the mermaid, must receive a minimum of 50 likes. Now stir ingredients vigorously in a giant cauldron, throw in a witch cackle with a wolf howl in the background, blow a kiss,  ANd now cue the fog.
. . .
That didn't work? What a shame. You're probably too basic for recovery.

*This dress is from the online shop eShakti, check em out for custom tailoring and personalizing any of their designs! Psst like 80% of their dresses have pockets!

Yesterday, my boyfriend took me on a surprise adventure to the Inner Harbor in Baltimore! The day was spent in lovely leisure as we shopped at Urban Outfitters, ate at the Hard Rock Café, explored the George Peabody Library, and sat by the water to enjoy the harbor. I even made great use of my favorite polaroid camera!
Stay tuned for the next adventure,
xx Claire

Inspired by Blake Lively's 2015 fall Vogue photoshoot
Boots: Hunter | Plaid Scarf: Garage | Suede Skirt: Forever 21 | Tan Belt: H&M | Skirt/Shawl: Nordstrom
The leaves are falling, the air is getting crisp, and the whispers of pumpkin spice are all around us. (Or in our hands already.) Nevertheless, fall is creeping up on us and I refuse to let all of you go back to your simple ways of leggings, sweaters, and combat boots. We're taking a step into the past, to the 70's to be exact. Yes, we're bringing it all back out: high-waisted pants, bell bottoms, suede, fringe, and all those funky boots and wooden platform heels.

The photos above combine this idea with a modern twist by incorporating the classic fall, school girl, and wild west native looks. Blake Lively's photoshoot with Vogue combined solely the western native and 70's styles. They are beautiful photos and are very women empowering. This is what our main inspiration was and what we tried to achieve with these photographs.

Now, of course these styles are curated after the Vogue look, so they appear a little more out there or extravagant compared to what we'd typically wear everyday. (Would you take a shawl and make a skirt out of it? I don't think so.) Don't let this stop you from changing it up a bit! Take one element from these photos and work it into your outfit. Tag me in you OOTD's on Instagram for a chance to be featured on my Instagram account! I love seeing what you guys come up with.

xx Claire
