He can stay up till 2 a.m. working out, you're passed out at 10 or earlier. You start getting into the pattern of waking up with the sun, he sleeps in until 11. It feels like you're waiting around allll day for him to come out of hibernation.. Just, go find something else to do. Like me right now, I'm typing this while I'm waiting for his coma to finally end :)
2. You're NEVER on the same page when it comes to food.
Someone's on a health kick, someone gave up sweets for lent, someone doesn't participate in lent... More often than not, conversations like this happen way too fricken often:
Me: *scooping icecream* Are you gunna wan-
Him: *looks at me like, don't even say it.*
Me: Right right! Sorrryyy...
[OR]
Him: Hey do you wanna pick up something to eat?
Me: Sure!
Him: How about Taco Bell?
Me: Uhhhhh well *thinking about the irresistible Doritos tacos* I don't know..
3. NEVER being able to decide on things because you both are too laid back and noncommittal towards the mundane simplicities of life.
What do you want to do today, where do you want to go, do you want to stay home, do you want to see a movie, what movie do you want to see, what time, where do you want to eat, WHAT do you want to eat...
OH MY GAWD JUST PICK SOMETHING!
"I don't care."
I WANT YOU TO CARE!
"Just Pick One!"
YOU PICK ONE!
"*the answer*"
I don't wanna go there..
4. Being on your phone vs. Being present.
Okay, this one's a little controversial considering just the other day we were both in the same room for over an hour watching vine videos and playing games on our phones... BUT! A lot of times, you'll find yourself just not on the same page. As a blogger, I used to be on my phone all the time: notifications, Instagram posts, snapchat, twitter group chats, checking emails incessantly.. I've grown out of this quite a bit now to the point where now I am very detached from my phone. I have never been a fan of texting another person while you're with someone. There are exceptions, but if its just your pal Sal, hang it up please. THAT GOES FOR ALL PEOPLE NOT JUST COUPLES! But ultimately I think if you're going to be on your phone while you're with someone it should be adding to and capturing the moment, not detracting from it. Document the day on snapchat, make cute videos, snap some selfies, then put your phone in your pocket and keep going.
