Now you know I had to quote the song Thrift Shop for this post... So this morning after I got a much needed pedicure, I went to the thrift store that was nearby. Turns out there's a sale that all clothes are a dollar! I looked through the racks of clothes and all I found for the longest time was just a red Bazinga shirt-which I was actually really happy about because I LOVE the Big Bang Theory. I circled the store for a few more minutes, looked at all the tacky really old and out of style clothes again and again. And then, there it was. Hanging alongside a 2000's white sleek floor length dress was a purple gold speckled strapless dress from David's Bridal. It must've been an old prom dress or bridesmaid dress worn only once, nevertheless, I loved it. I tried it on and it fit perfectly! But I just couldn't believe it, it was almost too good to be true that THIS dress would be included in the 1$ sale. I asked a lady who worked there if it was apart of the sale, she looked at me like I was crazy and said "yes?" So now I am the owner of this fabulous unnecessary dress that I have no place to wear! Whatever haha maybe I'll take it with me on a cruise or something. But what I think we all need to take away from this story is, never underestimate thrift stores. No matter what Macklemore says, thrift stores are awesome! I've found Calvin Klein overalls, New York & Company and White House/Black Market suit jackets, Steve Madden boots, and of course classic red Chuck Taylor's. So check out your local thrift stores! You'll never know what you'll find.
Let's pop some tags, Claire
