Here are my top 5 favorites:
An all time favorite of mine. Brilliant storyteller, Aaron Mahnke, takes you on a whirlwind of whimsical, historical, wonder filled, and sometimes terrifying accounts of folklore. While he may be talking about things as far fetched as fairies, vampires, and trolls, his podcasts are fact filled and backed up by history. Lore is quite fascinating and Aaron Mahnke will always leave you with a new bit of wonder to feel about the world you know little about.
2) Mystery Show
Miss Starlee Kine is your modern day Sherlock in Mystery Show. Very witty, a great conversationalist, and extremely inquisitive, Starlee solves the mystery's the internet can't. How tall is Jake Gyllenhaal? Where did a New York video store disappear to in the middle of the night? Did Britney Spears really read an unknown starving writers book? Mystery Show is the perfect light hearted podcast to brighten your day.
A top charting and award winning podcast that has run for two season now. Serial takes on the 1999 murder of a Baltimore teen and a military desertion case of Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl. Producer Sarah Koenig entrances you with curiosity, you'll be hooked from the first episode.
Karen and Georgia discuss their absolute favorite murder cases. With passion and humor, they share their love for murder stories. I am just now getting into this podcast but my sister Renee says it's a must listen to series.
Another new one for me, Gretchen Rubin explores podcasting after already having three of her books on The New York Times best seller list. She knows a little bit about being happy and wants to share her helpful tips on how to easily make your life just that little extra happier.
